The Latest on Mom

Mom went to her doctor yesterday and got lots of not good news. Mom has a bone infect shun (called Osteo my light us). This is partly why mom's hurty foot has not yet healed. Mom was also told she is probably going to have to have surgery on her foot to clean out the infection. Mom has been taking anywhere from 1750-2000 mg of anti bio tics each day, and not only has it not killed all the infection, but it has made her real sick and feel bad. Plus, she may also have to have a tube put in her arm to get IV antibiotics. The up side to all this is that it should it should make her foot wound heal up fast!
But, mom has also had other complications happen besides feeling sick from anti bio tics. She had a (looks around....shhh) butt wound scar blow. It had fluid buildup and swelling in it twice lately, and Monday her doctor drained fluid out. It left a 2.5 cm deep wound. Soooo, mom is now dealing with 2 wounds, not 1. She has finished Hyperbaric Oxygen, but she still has the wound vac thingy. Home health people are also going to be coming again. Oh, and mom has been so stressed her heart keeps speeding up and also making her feel very bad.
I've been doing all I can to cheer mom up, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Mom is allll way depressed, frustrated, and stress. She sheds lots and lots of water. (New RB kitties hasn't helped.) We need lots and lots of prayers and get all your friends, and even their friends praying for mom to heal. I have been told that any furry or non furry that wants to come purr, woof, or whatever on mom will receive a free tummy rub, chin and ear scritches, and lots of extra snuggles. If mom does have surgery, I will be hosting a "Purr In."
We want to thank each and every one of you for your purrrs, prayers, healing light, healing mojo, notes of encouragement, and mostly your love and kindess. It is deeply, DEEPLY appreciated. You are family to us and we love you all very much! Love, Beau and Mom

The mom speaks: My son had Ostiomilitus when he was just 3 years old. He lost his clavicle, had surgery on his ankle and had heart surgery all due to this serious (at times life threatening)infection. So I understand just how serious this is. I'm glad to report that he eventually fully recovered.
Sending you prayers, and healing purrs from Milo and Alfie. Get well soon.
