Extra Feature Friday -- Raise A Paw
I am raising 2 paws AND a foot up. We are for 2 organizations:
The Easter Seals Society helps people like mom who have Spina Bifida and other handicaps, and do LOTS to help them. They have camps for kids, medical equipment for loan, and they have cool stamps you can decorate envelopes with in the Spring. They helped mom's family when she was a kitten. The other is The Humane Society. The one here is a super low kill place where homeless pets can go. They only kill animals if they are dying already and bad off, or if a pet is extremely super mean and dangerous to the others. Otherwise, they take care of pets until they are adopted, even if it takes a really long time to find the perfect match. They are also very caring and nice there and helped mom place an older kitten she rescued (who now has a forever home).

Tuxie Tuesday - Health Update
As promised, I'm going to give a health update. First, I want to thank a couple more friends. In addition to everyone who has helped pay off my v-e-t bill I would like to thank Sassy for being a great reporter! =big, huge, warm, kitty smile= Based on the comments and emails I've gotten during this time, I think Sassy did more than notify the ENTIRE cat blogosphere. I think Sassy single-pawedly notified the ENTIRE cat UNIVERSE. If you ever need someone to be sure all cats know something, Sassy's the cat to go to!! Way to go, Sassy!! I would also like to send out a special, warm shout out to Miss Peach. Despite her own health concerns and scares, she has sent me some of the nicest, most caring and touching, get well thinking of you notes. This has very deeply touched me. =single tears falls from corner of eye= I am a much better mancat for knowing her and I feel blessed, as mnay of you do, to have her as a friend. =clears throat= Anyway (regains composure), I seem to be doing okay. I am more active and playful than I was for a while, and I am making my jumps. The vet and mom agree as long as I maintain my current status, nothing more will be done. However, I still have those pesky knots in my muscles, and should I start missing jumps again or show other signs of problem, then a muscle biopsy, and probably additional tests, will be done at that time. In the meantime, I get to just live my life! WAHOO!! (At least for 6 months anyway, when I go back for routine follow-up blood tests to check my levels.) Mom said for me to tell you if anyone who sent a check directly to us and did not get a personal thank you note, please email me so I can bite her butt to mail it. Thanks again for EVERYTHING!! Love, Beau

Mancat Monday -- GQ Beau

Thanks to Moe (whoever he is) being dumb, and causing us problems, we are just now (7pm Central, USA) getting to wish everyone a Happy Thankgiving...even those who don't have a special day for it. Every day should be a giving thanks day!! Always take time to count your blessing and thank God for them. Mom always says, "If we don't take time to be thankful for what God gave us, He can just as easily take it away from us again." So, we just want to say thank you to everyone for your love, support, many kindesses, friendship, generosity, and caring. We love you!! (And there will be a health update later this week. (I'm hanging in!!) Love, Beau (and mom)

We heard from the vet, and so far WORST case scenario is that it could either be muscular dystrophy or an immune disease. The good news is right now I seem to be doing better and have started back on antibiotics to finish them for the bladder infection. In the event that I start having problems again then I will probably have the muscle biopsy, and possibly even more tests. So, should I start having problems again we will have a long, and expensive, road ahead of us. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I really need healing prayers!! We also want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, support, and for helping pay off my vet bills. It has touched and humbled us. We feel truly blessed to be a part of such a support, caring group of people. Thank you so very much!! Love, Beau

First, let me say time sure does fly! It doesn't seem possible that it's been a week since I've posted last. Anyway, here in America we celebrate Thanksgiving--a day to be thankful for all our blessings and for all that God has given us. So, today I am listing 13 things I am thankful for: 1) Mom giving me a forever home; 2) shelter; 3) having food in my belly and never feeling the need for food; 4) giving and receiving love; 5) fresh water every day; 6) friends; 7) a "soft place to fall;" 8) God always holding me in the palm of His hand; 9) toys, and mom playing with me, to help keep me active; 10) good health days; 11) sun spots to warm me; 12) a good v-e-t; and 13) life itself.

It's MY BIRTHDAY!!
TRIBUTE TO MIA
(I miss you so much!!)
Good-bye, my love
Good-bye my love
Until together again
I will forever miss you
The love you gave
Was so pure and true.
You always had,
A kind word, a gentle paw.
A loving spirit was all one saw.
Now you're gone, a light's gone dark.
But in this world, you left your mark.
