Tested

Mom got tested a lot on Monday. She got xrayed, had blood stolen, was tilted on a table to where she was up on her hind legs, and had her heart monitored. She was supposed to have had her brain imaged by an MRI, but she said that she was put in a tiny tube so small she panicked multiple times and had anxiety attacks, so that didn't happen. Her human specialist v-e-t is going to try to get her into something called an open MRI thingy at a different location. We don't know yet when that will be. As for the test she has already had, the only thing we know is her blood is fine. My opinion is if she has really good blood they should give it back to her. After all, it's mom's blood and they stole it from her. Friday mom has an ultrasound. We will let you know when we know more. Oh, and for those who've been asking, boyfriend seems to be doing okay. Mom went to see him this past weekend, and hopes to see him again within the next two weeks. They are working on getting his place cat friendly so I can go with her. Mom does not want to take me until she feels that it is a safe and okay place for me to be. However, I chewed and horked up plastic while she was gone this past time and that has unnerved her. Mom wants to know why no one at the house trashing party kept me from it. Also, she wants to know who was responsible for all the toilet paper everywhere, especially the tons of shredded paper in the magic water bowl. I know nothing. I saw nothing. I heard nothing. Heeheehee!! Love, Beau

Hi Beau... we are glad your Mom's blood passed her test but it really seems unfair that they dont give it back. Our Mom said to tell you that things are crazy here & she is sorry that she hasn't answered emails or called. She had problem with her car today (she & someone else tried to be in same space)...

I am very glad that your Mom has good blood. I hope she can get her open MRI done soon. That's great news about the boyfriend. Beau, you leave that plastic alone. It's really not edible now matter how much fun it is to chew.

As for the plastic, if we'd seen you eating it, we'd have told you to stop, it's not good for you!

Well, we sure don't know anything about it. We weren't wearing Jan's reading glasses so we saw nothing.

Wish they could find out what is wrong with your mom. We want her to get well.

To Beau and her Mom,

Lots of warm good wishes to you, Beau's Mom, as you go through this NPH thing. I've had the surgery (shunt) and am recovering slowly but steadily, exercising daily and going for walks. Be sure to eat lots of protein and get lots of rest. As for you, Beau the Southern Gentlemancat, you bear a striking resemblance to our Charlie, the Loud New Yorkat, but it's probably only fur deep. Take care, lots of love from Betsy & Charlie (Isabella, Bessie and Willy and Ava, too) Keep us posted!

Hey, I hope Beau's mom's ultrasound went well. I hope whatever health crisis prompted it gets cleared up soon.

Check out my blog about a colony of abandoned/feral cats near my home. There will be stories there as time goes on that could inspire and inform anyone you know who wants to help homeless cats.
